Kurt is a native of the Pittsburgh area who fell in love with the West Virginia mountains and decided to make it his home. For over a decade, he has been based in Pocahontas County.
His work has graced the covers of Highland Outdoors and Blue Ridge Outdoors, as well as being featured in Freehub Magazine's West Virginia Trails edition.
This unique combination of insider access, mountain fluency, and a CPP credential—held by fewer than 30,000 photographers worldwide—forms the foundation of Wildhare Media. Kurt specializes in commercial campaigns, action sports, tourism content, real estate, weddings, events, and portraits. If it happens in the WV mountains, he knows how to capture it.
What motivates him to stay behind the camera is a simple truth: photography connects people to places in a way nothing else can.
